I came from a very German family and they made everything from scratch. I must say my favorite recipe in this book is Kneopla soup, My kids love it and will eat at least 2 full pots of it, that's 10 quarts. I have 7 kids and they love these recipes. If you have trouble with your kids eating, try the meatloaf, it's the best and no kid can resist it.
I also have 5 grandkids and they just love everything especially the Kuchen. Apple or Pineapple is my favorite, but my mother always loved the cottage cheese one.
